Annual volunteer trips in January/February

We have 2 trips, one in January and one in February every year when we travel as a group of 30-40 adults and students. I think everyone enjoys these trips!!

What you have done over these past 14 days in Kenya is more than just a volunteer trip — it is an act of humanity that will be remembered long after the paint has dried and the goodbyes have been said.

By painting the local Maasai school, you didn’t just brighten walls. You added light to a community. Every brushstroke was a message. That is a gift that is difficult to measure.

And the young children in the shelter and in Kocha — the ones who have known hardship far too early — You gave them more than help. You gave them moments of safety, moments of joy and friendship. You reminded them that the world can hold kindness, that strangers can show up with open hearts, and that their stories matter. The hope you sparked in them is something they will carry long after these 2 weeks become a memory.

You came from far away, but you showed up as if this community were your own.

You should be proud of every paint-splattered shirt, every moment you chose compassion over comfort. Your presence here has changed lives — and one of those lives is your own.
